It's Christmas again...

10:55:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Christmas has always been my favourite festival. Lots of colourful lightings, christmas carols, goodies and the list goes on..

Then again, as I grow older, it's becoming more like a festival to exchange gifts, a period when I'm stuffed with chocolates, log cakes and ham, and I'm forgetting the spirit of Christmas. *guilty*

Why do we celebrate Christmas? Why do we have to wait till Christmas, then we start busy shopping for gifts for relatives, friends and colleagues?  If you have been out there in town, you probably find yourself lost in the midst of shoppers...

Dun get me wrong. I still love Christmas. It's the time of the year when you find the least number of grouchy people on the street. Perhaps if you accidentally step on someone's foot, he will still smile and tell you it's alright. Other time of the year? You probably be  "pierced to death" by his stare.

Maybe it's because most people getting their bonus in December? Or it's the school holidays, so most people are on leave, so no work no stress... Whatever the reason is, most people are feeling happier at this time.

But I kinda missed the days when I was still a child. I always pray that Santa will give me a "My Little Pony" house or a Barbie Doll house. I never get it, of coz. But I always went to bed, smiling and waking up, searching around my bedroom for the present from Santa. I did that for a couple of years until I was old enough to understand that Santa dun come to Singapore, because there is no chimney and it's too hot for him. You know, with his red furry coat, he just dun fit in here... =p

Well, the anticipation for Christmas Day to come earlier kept me happy as a child. And even though I dun get my Christmas present from Santa, I just continue to hope and wish for it year by year. As a kid, you just dun remember your disappointment.  Now as a grown-up, there's actually no more excitement and Christmas Day is just another public day. Even though I do get Christmas presents, but it just feel different. I dun like to grow up!

So if you know a kid, dun forget to get a present for him/her. Even though I dun remember the real meaning for Christmas, I shall do my part by keeping the spirit of Christmas alive in a child.. ^_^

Haha, I'm getting a bit emo on the eve of Christmas eve.. Hey, dun be affected by me! I can be such a spoiler at times... =p

Whatever the reason you have for celebrating Christmas, I hope that you are surrounded with your loved ones, with good food & drinks and a merry mood!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! ^______^

Kamado [Closed]

6:13:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Kamado is located just beside the escalator when you ascend from underground Somerset MRT. After passing by it numerous times, we decided to give it a go. In any case, my "noble aspiration" is to try out as many as possible, all the new eateries so that I can bring to you all, a more reliable reviews other than looking at the pictures on the menus, which can be rather deceiving... =)

Rapunzel

Never really remember what the story is about, other than a girl trapped in a tall tower with a very long hair.

I'm pretty sure the latest Disney movie, Rapunzel, is an "improvised' version, with new characters such as the identify confused horse, Maximus, and the cute green chamelon, Pascal, which made the story even more interesting. The main character, Rapunzel & Flynn, is definitely not your typical princess meet prince kinda story...

Wanna know more? Get ur bum out from here, and go catch that damn movie! =p

I really enjoy the movie, and the soundtrack is great! Here, one of the nicest... ^_^

Tsubohachi

Finally, the "long-awaited" review of Tsubohachi! ^_^

When was the last time I said that? *scratch head*

Hmm, let me check... OMG, it was "evidenced" in the Benten's entry which was dated in August!! 4 months ago!! Better dun let my boss reads this, or she will start having doubts about my work efficiency.  =p

But really, it's not about efficiency when it comes to blogging. You need the "feel" to write. And the joy of blogging? The ability to write without much efforts, and words just flow...

Dun understand?? *roll eye*

Oh well, let's just get down to business then..
*******

Tsubohachi was recommended by my bf's fren. Since it was a  friend gathering, rather than a "food appreciation" session, I went there without much expectation. It turned out to be quite a pleasant dining experience, with lotza varieties and reasonable pricing. In fact, I went back there for my own gals gathering too. =)

Beach Road Prawn Noodle House

11:22:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

When I go East Coast park for blading, cycling etc. I will usually past by Beach Road Prawn Mee shop, which appears to be closed all the time. Seriously, are they ever open for business?

One fine day on a weekend afternoon, we decided to make a special trip down to the shop. I dun believe it can "escape" from me! I must eat the prawn mee by hook or by crook!

Hohohoho... *evil laughter*

*******

Indeed, the shop was packed with customers. It was a big contrast compared to another Prawn Mee along the same stretch. I thought it's kinda silly to direct compete with someone apparently very famous liao. *Shrugged*

Ok, back to Beach Road Prawn Mee! It has a few varieties such as plain prawn mee, prawn with pork ribs mee etc. Price starting from $4.50 onwards. There is also a 五香 stall, probably under the same management. I dint tried that, but I suppose it should be pretty good since there were many who ordered the 五香.
