Korea - Free & Easy (Part 2) - Jeju
Jeju does not have an extensive metro/subway network, so travelling around is not as convenient as Seoul. Well, to save the trouble, I just engaged a taxi driver aka tour guide, which is a common practice for tourists going to Jeju, prices probably range from KW$100,000 to $150,000 a day (8 hours).
For the next 2 days in Jeju, I engaged a driver called Mr Won, who can speak pretty good english, a bit of chinese and good japanese. His rate is relatively high ( KW $150,000 per day) cos he is very popular. Dun believe? Just google. =p
Unfortunately on the first day, Mr Won had something on quite last minute and got another taxi driver to bring us around. Although that driver was cheaper (KW$130,000, which was not exactly much cheaper), he was acting oddly like 'disappearing' once we reached a destination - we had to go and find him when we finished touring the place on our own, dun quite tell us where we were going, mumbled to himself now and then, anyway overall, I dun felt comfortable lah. And on the second day, weather was unkind to us, raining and super strong wind ( that kind which will blow your umbrella away one) when we were supposed to visit those outdoor sites, so bo pian, got to miss some places. *Sigh*
Oh, and Mr Won was very kind, he offered to drive us to the airport on the next day for free! Heehee
If you dun have itinerary, Mr Won will suggest for you, otherwise use my one lor....keke...
