One more post before I fly to Taiwan tomorrow morning! Yeah! Be back next week ^_^
*********
Had been hearing ravings for Itacho for quite some time. Wanted to try it earlier but just dun feel like queueing for it. With these, my expectations for it was pretty high. Hey, there must be reasons why the queue is forever long at Orchard Ion right?
We finally got our chance to try it at PS at a non dinner time.
The menu looked impressive with the many pictures. Then again, the ordering forms were confusing ~ there were different coloured forms for different food categories. Why makes life so complicated?Aiyo!
We didnt order a lot, so just a few to share here.
Roasted Salmon Roll - $3.50
Salmon aburi (half cooked salmon) is one of the items that I will always order whichever Jap restaurant I go. Not impressive here but passed. keke
Grilled Pork Sushi - $2
This caught my attention. Pork sushi? Wow, there was really unique!
It tasted like putting a piece of grilled pork and a spoon of rice together in the mouth. I guess the idea was innovative, but taste wise pretty much expected.
Scallop Sushi - $2.20
I really missed my fresh scallop from Hokkiado and so I ordered this to reminisce the good taste. But then, this was really passable.
To be fair, this was okay. Just that the one I had in Hokkiado was too heavenly, it probably hard to find something comparable here in Singapore. Food has to taste the best when it's freshest, so unless Singapore starts to have scallop farms, otherwise hard lah.
Some other normal stuff that we had...

Roasted Fatty Salmon Sushi - $1.70
Curry Roasted Chicken Rice - $12
Baked Stuffed Crab - $6
The rest of the food was pretty standard, nothing spectacular and not worth wasting time to queue for it. I find the price here kinda steep and I would have expected better quality. *Shrugged*
We wanted to try this ~ 40 cents sushi, where to find?
Indeed, it was hard to find.
We were there at about 5pm+. When we first asked for it, the waitress said that it was not ready yet. Half way through our course, we asked again, still dun have. Nevermind, wait lor. By the time we finished all our food, it was officially dinner time like 6plus 7pm. The waitress still said that it was not available! Wah lau, when is this 40 cents sushi ever ready lah! So ya, I never get to order it at all. =_=
