Rome, Italy - Food & Accomdation
We came to the last stop of our honeymoon trip ~ Roma! By the time, we were already missing food in Singapore and the super hot weather in Roma made it worse. =(
*Made a mental note ~ never go on trip during summer!*
The train journey from Florence to Roma was just 1.5 hours and it was another 5 - 10 minutes to our B& B, Flowerome.
Flowerome
Address: Filippo Turati, 23, 00185 Rome, Italy
The room was fairly big, with all the necessities. Breakfast was pre-packed bread, cereal bars and beverages for 3 days already placed in the room. So other than the first day when the owner passed us the keys and collected the money from us, we had not seen him again, pretty much on our own lah..
Food
1) Roma Terminal
Settled our lunch at the 'food court' in the train terminal.
2) Coffe Time
Address: Via Del Viminale 2, Roma
Our Orders:
Lasagne Bolognese - EUR 9
Succo Mela - EUR 3.50
Saltimboca Alla Romana - EUR 12
Tavolo - EUR 2
Some random restaurant that we just popped in. Hmm, didnt look appetizing hor?
3)
This was settled at a restaurant across the street from our B&B. Weather was too hot, that we usually went back to the B&B to rest in the afternoon to avoid the heat, and so we just settled dinner nearby.
I cant find the receipt but the meal was pretty ok, and the pricing was reasonable also.
4) Tomoku Tudini
Address: Via Principle Amedeo 27, 00185 Roma
Our Orders:
Gabriele (pizza) - Eur 12
Entrecote (steak) - Eur 19
Insalatina Mista (salad) - Eur 4.50
Tiramisu - Eur 6.50
Saison (beer) - Eur 6
Bicchiere Five Roses (wine) - Eur 6.50
Total: Eur 63 (with service charge)
It was our last dinner in Roma, we decided to go to a nicer restaurant. We were 'attracted' here as it was quite packed and the name of the restaurant seemed to suggest a fusion. Indeed there were Japanese customers and waiters here, but the food was still the typical western food lah. Lol
Food was fair but expensive considered the portion. My entrocote was just 2 small portion of meat without any side dishes!

Hi! Just want to know when were you there in Europe, since you were pretty much agitated by the hot summer, considering that you're from Singapore, which is pretty hot too.
I went in Aug month. I guess we were prepared for the scorching hot & dry temperature (close to 40 degree). Though Singapore is hot, it is still tolerable since most places in Singapore is air-conditioned and pretty humid. Hey, we are 'pampered' kids! LOL
