This was my first time at Lawry's as it always appear to me as too "atas" place to visit, so it never crosses my mind as a restaurant-to-visit.

English Hi Tea!
Ha ah, bet you never know Lawry's has afternoon hi tea indulgence. At least, I had no idea until today. And surprisingly, the pricing was actually quite acceptable.
At S$15++, each headcount can order 1 sweet item and 1 savoury item plus a beverage (coffee/tea/soft drink/juice). Since there was 3 of us, we get to try out 3 different type of savouries and sweets each.
Savories
Cheese & Egg Mayonnaise Finger Sandwich with Salad
We ordered these three as they appeared to be the more filling type amongst the choices available. My favourite is the prime rib yorkshire roll up, which is beef tiny cubes in egg wrap.
Brown Bread Pudding with Haagen Dazs Ice Cream
Pretty decent desserts!
Just to share, come 1st July 2014, Lawry's will have the Royal Tea promotion at $48++ for two. Personally, I think this promotion is better since it comes with 5 savoury petites and 5 epicurean sweets. Save the 'trouble' of gather a big group in order to enjoy the variety. And also, it's available on one of the weekend, Saturdays too. =)
