Trio Mitili Trio of half shelled NZ mussels
This is make up of 3 mussels cooked in different ways. The first one on the left is baked in cheese. The second one in the middle is cooked with a tinge of parsley. The last one on the furthest right is cooked with white wine.

Beet Borscht and Asparagus Cappuccino
Basil Alcove’s specialty soup
Dun be mistaken! This is not a dessert, but a soup! Real cool, right? The beetroot at the bottom is warm, mix with cold asparagus foam on top. You can gulp it with one shot, or can use the small teaspoon to slowly enjoy. The bread are nicely toasted with spicy tomato cubes on top. Personally, me find this soup a bit weird but cool concept. Likes the cold foam though.
The chef is really attentive. He overheard the waiter explaining to us what's beetroot , and so he gives us a few cubes soaked in vingar to try the real taste of beetroot. It is crunchy, with a taste of sweetness. Great ingredient for salad!

Tacchino Lampone
Pan fried turkey with baby spinach with raspberry walnut yoghurt
What Xmas without turkey?? So the chef tries to minimise the tough taste of turkey meat with sweet raspberry yoghurt sauce. Nice! Love the sauce, it's delicious!

Mescolanza Funghi
Assortment of Mushrooms tinted with pink pepper sauce
Next, we have mushrooms. A bit plain, but I guess it must be expensive mushrooms! So who cares, just eat la..

Strawberry Sorbetto
Strawberry sherbet topped with home grown mint pesto
P.S Frankly speaking, a bit full by now and we have yet to eat the main course!! ^_^

Cod Vaschetta Cotto
with beetroot caviar and balsamic onions
Cod Fish! It's really fresh. Smooth and sweet. It's so goody that the meat will just slip down your throat. A pity that it's only a small piece....haha, me greedy la

Lobster Thermidor
Oven-baked lobster seasoned with balsamic, garlic and basil topped with cheese; soaked in cream sauce Accompanied by a shot of Kailua, Granmania and Baileys
My fav! Lobster!!!Well, as you can see there's a small cup of liquor on the plate. You are suppose to gulp down and get drunk so that the other person can eat your lobster! !! Nah, me no stoopid. Me wanna eat lobster!! So me just cut small slice and dip the lobster meat into the cup so that the meat will have a taste of the triplet. I think I still prefer lobster with cheese, not a hardcore fan of liquor. Anyway, it's just simply scrumptious with both way of eating.

Torta Formaggio Mango
Deconstructed mango cheese cake with warm baileys
Finally, the REAL dessert! It's " cheese cake" without baking. To me, it's taste like tirumisu, perhaps due to the addition of baileys. Well, can only find mango cubes, whipped cream and baileys. Where's the cheesecake??? The sweet whipped cream complement the bitter sweet baileys. Overall, quite a nice ending to our fantastic meal!

Caffè or Tea
Lastly, a nice cup of tea with traditional sugar cubes to finish off. How does that sound?
P.S You might wanna try to directly eat the sugar cube and allow the cube slowly melt inside your mouth.
So, how much do ya think these are worth?? All these for a net price of $40!!
