"Starve" yourself first before going. The spread was amazing! Choose from chicken, fish or tom yam base for your steamboat. A wide variety of ingredients such as seafood, meat, vege, mushroom, tofu, fishball, meatball etc . There was also cooked food such as shrimp paste chicken, cane prawn roll etc etc. Oh man, we really stuffed ourselves silly and I counted a thrashing record of 21 items!!!

Steamboat Ingredients:

1) 2 serving of beef ( MUST ORDER! The beef was thinly sliced, good for shabu shabu! A pity, they dun serve the japanese sauce though...)
2) 1 serving of chicken
3) 1 serving of pork
4) 1 serving of fish
5) 1 serving of yong tau fu
6) 1 serving of meatball (2)
7) 1 serving of prawn (4)
8) 1 serving of sotong
9) 3 serving of golden mushroom
10) 1 serving of hotdog
11) 1 serving of glass noodles ( this one best for tom yam soup! keke)
12) 1 serving of cabbages
13) 1 serving of shitake mushrooms

GREAT to find a new food hangout, and even GREATER, was the location! It was so damn near my place lor... Anyway, since we had a heavy tea break, we decided to just go and had something light, just to try out this new kid on the block ( Born on August 2007).After browsing through the menu ( for dunno how long, coz everything was so cheap!), we decided on a soup, salad and a main course to share among the 2 of us.

[[ Soup]]
Potato & Red Capsicum ( Red Peppers) Soup
Ordered the soup of the day, which was "Potato and Ham". When the order came, it looked more like Tomato Soup ( which I Hate) than anything else. The waiter at the counter overheard my comment and he came over our table to explain that the chef had given us "Potato & Capsicum" soup instead as " Potato & Ham" had finished. Well, thought that they should at least inform us earlier. What if I dun like Capsicum ( which I dun think I like)? What if I like to order something else in the menu?? What if.... Watever! Heng for them ar, the soup was surprisingly tasty. A bit sour, yet creamy. And I finished every drop of it!! Keke..

[[ Salad]]

Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken

[[ Main Dish]]

Fish and Chip with corn and pasta
The fish and chip was good. With no "fishy" taste. Well, I dun usually order fish and chip as I always think fried fish are made from fish that are not fresh, which precisely why chefs will fry them, instead of steam, grilled etc. But this one was good, serving filling enough also. On top of them, you get to choose your own side dishes - any 2 from their menu.

Oh! Did I mention how much was the total bill? It was only $16! With no service charge, no GST, free popcorn and free ice water ( some places do charge lor.. grrr).

Hill Top Japanese Resturant [Closed]

2:15:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Hmmm, this was one of the ulu place that I went 2-3 years ago. Would never know if my fren had not brought me there. It was situated up on a hill ( Dunno what hill, but we drove upward you see), which probably explained the name. Ha, so Not Creative huh? WELL ANYWAY, the place was not really accessible if ya not driving. Nevertheless, there was still a lot of people who went there.

From my limited " hard disk space", I can vaguely recalled that there was a spiral staircase which lead to a rooftop ( cant find a better word to describle), where you can oversee sceneries of Singapore (and Jurong Oil Refineries). Apparently, many couples find THAT scenery appealing as there were quite a number of couples there. Keke.

Anyway, back to the resturant. The main dish was Japanese Teppanyaki. Customers would sit around the teppanyaki table ( if ya dunno what I meant, just go foodcourt see lah!) wearing aprons so that customers will be stained- free ( Wasnt that sweet???). Food was not bad, if ya like teppanyaki style. Pricing, I cant comment much coz I was not the one footing the bill! And sad to say, there was no photos as this website was not born then and so I dint took photographs of the food I ate.

So, if ya looking for something different, away from the crowds, perhaps you would like to try this place! Oh yeah, please remember to make a reservation before going there hor. ^_^

~*~ Xmas Candy ~*~

9:03:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Do you know what this candy cane symbolizes??

Letter " J " : Jesus Christ who came to save man from their sins

Wide Red Stripes : Blood that Jesus shed on man's behalf. Jesus died for our sins, in order that He might bring us to God. He dies, was buried and was raised on the third day.

White Stripes : Jesus' virgin birth and His pure, sinless life. Though Jesus was tempted just as we are, He never sin.

Narrow Red Stripes : Jesus' stripes, or scars, which He got when He was arrested and whipped.

Peppermint Flavour : Similar to hyssop used in the old times for purification and sacrifice
