Sorry for the lack of updates!

These few weeks had  been crazy as I'm trying to move over to my new house on this coming Wednesday. My initial idea is to move in by mid November lor.... and now become mid December and not yet completely finished.

Weekend has become furniture shopping, weekday has been lotza of liaising with the ID, shopping on TaoBao. 

Despite all the delays and screw-up, I'm glad the house is almost done, short of some small electric appliances, carpet and a dining table. Oh yeah, I havent buy the dining table, shall eat on the floor till then. LOL

Tomorrow is the massive cleaning day and after that I shall be able to post up some pictures of my new house! And I'm very pleased with my lightings bought from TaoBao, especially the Hello Kitty one! ^__________^

Need to rest early, feeling sore throat coming, must be all the late nights and cleaning up. Pen off.

I bought lightings for my new house from  淘宝 via Peeka.

This post is not about the lightings that I've bought, but PEEKA! It makes online shopping so much easier and I think the shipping costs are cheaper than SINGPOST.  I got 5 lighting apparels and the total cost was just $286, inclusive of $72 for shipping.

Remember my earlier post on 淘宝? My shipping cost for those little items was $150 lor...

I love PEEKA! It means I can buy more bigger items from 淘宝. Yeah! Now the only concern is overspending! Keke =p

Freeingsg is here! Have absolutely no idea what is it?

Imagine yourself trapped in a room, with limited time to escape. You need brains, muscles and a lot of teamwork. Yes, it's a escaping reality game that you can play with friends. How about some bonding session huh?

Currently, there are 2 themes, Silent Blood & Painter's Murder to choose from.  According to the FAQ, "all players only have 1 chance to experience each game room". =(  So hor, choose your players carefully. Haha

There will also be more themed rooms coming up! Great news!

My new job(S)!

I'm the typical studious ger ( I got excited taking exams rather than being scared, kind of sadistic huh), went to school, got a degree in accountancy and had been doing auditing since I graduated.

Hey, stable job you say.

Call it a mid-career crisis, but I have decided to do a total switch in something I'm totally new, while I have friends taking a break from work to be full time housewife or went on sabbatical leave. On a side note, I knew a friend who went for 2 years sabbatical leave, really envy!

*Deep breathe*

I'm doing jobs that help people find their ideal spouse/partner (or at least close to ideal) and their dream house, and together they can create a bigger dream of their own. 

In more layman terms, dating agency and real estate salesperson.  Haha

The Master's Sun

Oh ya, I'm currently watching this Korean drama called "The Master's Sun", which is really interesting. To entice you a bit, it's a story about a gal who can see ghosts. Not a scary show, on the contrary, a lot of touching scenes. And I like that it's not those typical crying romance. There is only a total of 17 episodes, so easy to watch for those who are tight on timing. Highly recommended! =) 

I like the following soundtracks so sharing here. And hor, because I'm busy with my new house, new job so I thought it's a good way to keep this blog busy by posting songs! *Evil* =p

Dozo - My Birthday Treat! [Closed]

Decided to re-visit Dozo since we had a 20% voucher! After the discount, we still spent about $112 for 2 pax. Fairly okay right, since it was a 7 course dinner, and they threw in a mini birthday cupcake with a candle for me. Just let the staff know of any occasion (anniversary, birthday etc) when you make the reservation. Hehe

For those who are new to Dozo, the 7 course dinner set is $59.80++ per pax and 6 course lunch set is $39.80++. You can also visit Dozo's website for the menu, although I cant say that the menu on the website is updated to the latest, but at least most of the choices are still there, so still quite a good gauge. 

Since this was my 2nd visit and my orders were somewhat similar, I shall let the pictures do most of the "talking", except for those new orders and some correction from my previous post. And yes silly me, I never check my own blog and ended up ordering the similar choices. Boo hoo! >.<

My birthday celebration Part 1: Go theme park!

Yeah, I know, I'm just like a kid. =p

It started to rain when the car was reaching Sentosa, and my heart sank lor. Luckily, there was no lightnings and we waited for half an hour or so before we entered the theme park.  And because it was not a sunny day, the theme park was not so crowded on a Sunday. Blessing in disguise!

Oh well, I just browsed the menu and the restaurant listing. It's a good thing that there are more new restaurants listed. On the contrary, there seems to be more "surprise menu" and nothing really catch my eyes.

Hey, probably it's time for me to "retire" from this chase and just be satisfied with my $2 Hainanese chicken rice.

Having said that, I still randomly made a reservation with Fordham & Grand for their surprise menu. Why?

Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

I love tomato cream sauce for my pasta - best of two worlds! Sad to say, not every Italian restaurant offers the 'ultimate' sauce. So, the best solution is to make my very own!  

Ingredients ( serves 4 -5 pax)
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil (preferably Olive Oil)
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter (approximately 30g)
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Finely Diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 can (29 Ounce) Tomato Puree
  • Salt, Pepper and Sugar to taste
  • 1 packet Cooking Cream (200ml)
  • Grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese, To Taste
  • 250g of Tagliatelle (or any other preferred pasta)

Royal Caribbean for next year? *Thinking aloud*

The last time that I went cruise was probably 10 years ago?  The only thing that I can vaguely recall is, we got free upgrade from a porthole room to a deck room with balcony with Star Cruise Virgo. Other than that, it was just eating around at different restaurants where food was rather passable and dipping in jacuzzi under the starry night. Cant really remember any much activities and that's why no more cruise since then.

But hey, I have been hearing about good stuff of Royal Caribbean, which seems to have better restaurants and more activities on its cruises. And hor, one of its ship, Mariner of the Seas, will be servicing cruises out of Singapore!

Personally, I think 3 nights on a cruise is just nice. Anything more than that probably will be boring for me. Well, unless you are planning to go for those land excursion when the ship dock at the various ports.

Homemade cold soba

Easy to make, nice to eat, most importantly,  super healthy!

Ingredients:
Buckwheat soba - $2.80 from cold storage ( serves 3-4 pax)
Japanese sesame sauce
Meat
Egg

Steps:
1) boil water in a pot
2) once water is boiled, place soba straight in
3) stir gently so that all the soba strands are immersed in water
4) lower the heat and cook soba for about 7minutes
5) drain the cooked soba and then place the soba in cold water/ under running tap and literally wash the soba
6) continue to wash the soba until the water is clear
7) drain the soba again and place it in the fridge. ( I let it became cold for an hour)
8) serve with cold boiled meat & egg ( or any other ingredients that you like) and drizzle sesame sauce

There, a cold meal to battle the hot sunny day!

Caution & Conscience Blogging

I don't even know whether I should be writing this, but since there are no names mentioned, I cannot be sued for defamation right?  I'm writing this so that fellow bloggers or any other individuals who writes online (facebook, twitter etc) should be mindful of....

I received a call from a company asking me to remove a post about my experience with them.

You should have guessed it. Yup, it was about a bad experience with them and there were other readers who shared their similar negative feedback under the comment box. 

The management mentioned that his business was affected because of my post and the comments.  And because I was the moderator of the comments, I'm answerable for the comments made by others (whether factual or not, which is something I will not be able to verify). In short, he said that the company had taken the screenshots of the post and the comments and his solicitors can sue me for defamation if I don't remove the post and the comments. The caller also claimed that they had sued a customer for defamation successfully in the past. Seriously, I felt threatened even though the caller wasn't scolding or shouting at me. Boy, I think he probably was "well trained" in making such unpleasant call.

Oh yeah, im spending the weekend at Batam. Quite a last minute decision and so the only place that I can find is batam... so here I am! :-D

Cant wait for my 3hr spa tomorrow. The only thing is, the only slot is 830am! Such a 'horror', having to wake up at 7am so that I can have my free breakfast before going to the spa. I hope the spa is good,  to make up the early wake up.

And guess what I found in batam, hello kitty plates and bowls! More to add on to my collection.  *happy mood*
