My Cooking Feast

Hoho, went to a fren's house for a " Cooking & Eating" session... Haiz, when gals grow older, they can only stay at home to cook & eat.... SOBZ... But nvm, the food was great, so I'm happy to grow up... Hehe.. crappy.. Let's see wat we got here bah!

Feast of Yummies - Enuff to feed the whole zoo!

Did I hear you saying it was not that fantastic after all?? Humpt, dun drool ar.. I shall show you the big big pictures... see you scare or not! =p

Salad => Lettuce, Nihon Cucumber, Tomato, Boiled & Peeled Capsicum, "Crouton"

Nicely arranged by ME!ME!ME! But then, washed & prepared by my fren... hahaha. Noted that my fren had also attempted to make cha da "crouton" by frying the skin of the bread. Nice try, it was edible and I am still blogging now... ^_^

Chicken => Marinated with chilli ( YUCKS!) & honey the night before

Chicken => Fried to perfection!!!
Surprisingly, the chicken was not spicy after all! Hard to image hor, seeing all those chilli covering the chicken...

Pasta Sauce with Sausages

Pasta Spices

Cooked with peeled tomato, sausages, spices ( as above), chopped garlic with slow heat for almost 6 hours. Such that the tomato would soften and dissolve, and till the sauce thickened. Long painful process indeed... Heng ar, I was not the one waking up at 6am to prepare all these... hahahahahaha.....

Fresh Basil Plant?

Aiya, couldnt find the packed basil leaves, so buy the plant lah!Anyway, the leaves were meant to be added onto pasta when served. Seemed weird to pluck the leaves straight from the pot to eat.... I felt like a caterpilla... And hor, I only realised that I dint wash the leaves and just ate like that... -_-~~~~ Dunno got pesticide mah... -_-~~~~~ (again)

Pasta Sauce - Home-made!

Pasta with tomato sauce , sausage & basil leave

Potato Salad with Nihon cucumber (again)

Half eaten Chawamushi
This was a first time trial and the result was commendable ( by who?? ME lah, who else ^^) Even though it dint look that good, but dun judge a book by its cover hor..

Anyway, quite simple to make. Just mix egg with chicken stock, add a bit of japanese soya sauce, salt and sugar, throw in the ingredient you wan ( e.g. shitaka, fish cake, chicken etc), steam it and there you have, your own chawamushi!
(P.S It was a half-eaten picture, because it was so good that I cant wait to eat it, so forget to take picture mah... *bleah*)

My proud contributuon - Tirumisu!

My frens said it was good! A nice dessert to end off our meal indeed... When are we having another session?? Keke

*********
Receipe for Tirumisu
First you have to buy:

250g mascarpone cheese cost $6+
200g lady fingers $3+
2 eggs
cocoa powder or milo powder
100g sugar
Coffee

Steps:

Seperate the egg yolk and egg white
Beat the sugar and egg yolk together
Mix in the cheese
Fold in the (beaten) egg white
Dip the lady fingers into the coffee
Line the aluminium trayput with 1 layer of the egg/sugar/cheese mixture
Repeat until tray is full
Sprinkle on cocoa
Put in fridge for 4 hrs

P.S. Personally, think can use less sugar since the lady fingers bought from Cold Storage were actually sweetened
