Pardon the less vibrant pictures as it was a impromptu visit to Hosted for their brunch and I did not equip myself with a real camera.

Despite that Hosted is one of my favorite restaurant, I have to begin the post with a big sigh.... =(

*SIGH*

It was such a disappointment that Hosted took away their brunch menu! Oh my seafood crepe! I didnt know my first encounter with 'you' was also the last......... >.<

The menu was also changed, added some but removed a lot. *Shrugged*

So instead of brunch, we took lunch instead...

Cheese Souffle - $18

Fret not, this was not as cheesy as it looked.  In fact, tasted somewhat light & fluffy with a nice cheese aroma.  Particularly adored the slightly burnt edges. A new appetizer on the menu, but a rather expensive one which doesnt help to reduce your hunger pangs.

Pan Roasted Mackarel - $22
(served with braised mixed vegetables & fresh herbs)

I ordered fish for a change, which I thought was rather passable. I supposed this dish should still appeal to most people but Hosted has spolit me with all their wonderful dishes previously, and my expectation of their dishes has increased tremendously. And somehow this was just average.

Stuffed Pork Loin with Ham & Cheese Stuffing  - $24
(served with wild mushroom sauce & sauteed potates)

Hubby's order. As again, his choice was much better than mine. LOL

The pork was surprisingly tender, and was good on its own which made the slice of ham quite redundant. The creamy sauce completed the dish so much that we polished the plate clean. I even dipped my fish with the sauce lor.. hehe

Overall food was still good but I think I will miss the variety and my seafood crepe

Hi Kakers!

Thanks and I think the mooncakes tasted good too!

As quoted in Wiki,
"Mooncake (simplified Chinese: 月饼; traditional Chinese: 月餅; pinyin: yuè bĭng) is a Chinese bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival / Zhongqiu Festival. The festival is for lunar worship and moon watching, when mooncakes are regarded as an indispensable delicacy. Mooncakes are offered between friends or on family gatherings while celebrating the festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals."
