This was the long awaited feast ~ Hei Zu Rou aka Black Pork @ Tom Ton Central
Opportunity to try out the Japanese Black Pork finally came when dear drew his first pay in June. Well, perhaps I should just confess it was merely another excuse to pig out.. ^__^
We finally decided on a BBQ cum steamboat set. It cost $66, before GST. Luckily, we went before 1st June. Well, 2% "saving" was better than none wat...
BBQ the green chilies to add a tingy of spice to the meat we gonna BBQ later. But anyway it dint worked lah. Meat still taste like just pork... hmm.. fei hua. Lots of veges, damn healthy! But it sure helped to wash down the sin of having too much meat! Haha..

Suppose to wait for the fats oil to ooze out and BBQ the meat. Taste quite all right, but even better with the sweet sauce that came together!

Tried to bbq them, but failed! Why? Because they were simply too thinly sliced. The meat would just stuck to the bbq plate lor.. So we got to kuai kuai followed instructions to boil the meat in the steamboat instead lor. There were actually 2 kinds of different meat, cant really tell what's the difference though...

Always wanted to try black pork coz the TV variety featured it to be a heavenly delicacy. But it somehow failed the expectation. The food was good, just that personally felt that it was not "compatible" to the price. So try once was good enough for me! keke
