Herbs & Spices
Browsed through HGW and found this shop. It was near my house ( Upper Thomson Road, changed location, please refer to address below), cheap ( avg $10 per pax with no GST & service charge), good reviews ( all the 6 reviewers in HGW gave "Definitely return to this shop" and also there was a 20% discount with OCBC credit card ( with minimum $50), which I had. And so it was a 100% match lor! Keke
The moment we stepped into the shop, a very "strong" smell welcome us. Hmm.. but you will soon get used to it.. Hahahaha. Put the distinct smell aside, the staff are friendly and the shop is clean and spacious. We were all set to order our food!
I dunno what was the actual term, but the "chips" were usually served with Briyani lor. Free one, dun ask so much! =p
This was recommended by the staff. It was actually yogurt drink. You can choose from a range of plain, sweet, mango and salted ( ?? cant imagine what's the taste like??). I ordered the sweet lassi, as it seemed to be the safest drink of all. But then, I still find the yogurt too strong for my liking, so I guess I shall give it a miss the next visit bah!
Butter Nann
The serving was really too much! For a price of $2 - $2.50, we were not expecting the large portion. If you are a first comer who wanna try a few dishes like me, just order one nann for 2 pax will be sufficient. Personally, I prefer the cheese nann, coz the butter nann was a bit oily. However, I would much enjoy the nann if there was more cheese though.
This came in a surprise, which eventually turned out to be a pleasant one (heng ah!!). We wanted to have some vege to go with the fish & chicken, instead we were served this greenish unfriendly looking paste. To be frank, this was really not a pretty sight and definitely dun look appetizing at all. As usual, my bf was waiting for me to be the food-tester (Sobzz). Well, it dint taste as bad as its looks, and there were also tofu cubes inside the paste. In fact, I ended up eating the nann with this greenish paste.
This was slightly spicy, but was still bearable. The fish was tender and there was a lot of vege ( lady fingers, tomato, chilli and other spices) which I dun eat lah. Keke
Even though the chicken was roasted, it was not dried and hard, which was good. However, you might start to feel bored after one or two pieces, coz there was no gravy to go with the chicken. Of coz, you can dip it with the other dishes that you have ordered, for my case, I dipped the chicken in the curry and the spinach paste lor.
Tirumisu
Dessert was not in the menu so you got to ask the staff what they got. Erm, the staff told me they had " Tirumisu, XXXXXX, Chocolate Cake". Really! I never bluff you. That was really what I heard!! =(
I could not catch what was the staff trying to say except for tirumisu and chocolate cake and I was paiseh to ask her to repeat in english. So I appeal to you people who have been to this shop, please let me know what other desserts they have. Keke

How much for all these??? Just slightly less than $30. Well, if not for the tirumisu, it will be just $10 for each pax. I forgot to ask the staff how much was the tirumisu before I ordered and it turned out to be the most expensive item! Arghhh.. Overall, it was a good meal and I definitely be back again ^_^
