16 September - My Birth Day! ^_^

The day was fully packed with programs starting off at Universal Studios Singapore @ Sentosa. I was rather grateful that it was a sunny day since the day before it was pouring. That was despite that I kenak minor sunburn and dyhdration lor...keke

********

Transport Information:
Sentosa Express located on Level 3, Vivo City for a flat fee of $3. Alights at Waterfront Station.
For the local, simply use your EZ-Link Card! So much convenient.

For other means of directions to USS, please click here!

But I will say, travel via the Sentosa Express is most hassle free. ^_^

****
We reached there at about 10am ( Opening Hours: 10am - 7pm Daily) to try to avoid the crowd and so that we could check in Marina Bay Sands earlier. Yup! We were staying at MBS on that day, shall review about it later. So do check back if you like to tour round MBS! Haha

There is this big Hershey's shop located just outside the USS. We went in to take a look and the shop smell delicious! I would love to buy some chocolates and souvenirs back if not because of our barang barang.. Oh well, next time then!
Love Chocolates!
Entrance to Universal Studios Singapore

Btw, there are lockers available for your barang barang, so that you can "travel light" in USS mah. Then again, the lockers are kinda expensive. It costed us $10 for a small locker (good enuff to put in 2 haversacks) for whole day. Aiya, bo pian lah...

Hollywood

Hollywood is where most of the shops and resturants are located. Look at the crowd on a WEEKDAY at 10am! Cant imagine if it's a weekend lor...

There isnt any ride here, but there's this "Monster Rock" - a rock n roll musical performance which we dint get to watch due to the timing.
The rest of the themes..

*****

Madagascar

There is no ride at Madagascar yet, but there will be one coming up, called "A Crate Adventure" - a river boat adventure.

For little kids, there is also the "King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round", which in simple term, carousel.

Then you must be thinking, why was I at Madagascar then? Haha.. to catch a dance performance by the characters from Madagascar!
Gloria the Hipo
Alex the Lion
& the Penguins..

Kinda cute as the characters danced to the music. I was sweating like mad standing under the sun, watching the performance. Cant help but to admire those performancers behind the thick costumes. Salute!

Far Far Away

Hey, it is not that far.. Just beside Madagascar nia... =p

First ride of the day aka the "Enchanted Airways"
"Ticket Counter" manned by drunk Gingerbread man

Photos are prohibited in all rides, so I dint took many photos of the rides I took. This was one of the rare time I took while queuing for my turn.

This is a junior roller coaster suitable for both kids and adults. Even though it is not exactly thrilling, but hey, there are still some sharp turnings, but no "heart dropping" feeling lor..

Shrek 4D Adventure

My favourite and so you must catch it! If you have been to Disneyland HK, it's like the Mickey Mouse Musical whereby you can see, hear and feel the actions! Real cool! ^_^

I wonder will USS change the story every few years.. I will love to go again for it, but different story please!

Magic Portion Spin

Miniature ferris wheel for the little kids. Nah.. Not for me!

Got lotza money but no where to spend? Lotza cute characters from the Shrek movie for you to spend on! Keke

The Lost World

We entered to the "Jurassic Park" for the next ride aka "Rapids Adventure"

No photos on the ride but I shall try to describe what it is okie?

Together with 8 other pax, you will sit on a round rubber tube/raft and be tossed down the waterways at the "mercy of the rapids". Peaceful at first, you catch sights of the dinosauers. Until, you enter into a dark tunnel and.... I shall not reveal more to spoil the fun! keke

Beware of getting soaked, and not mere wet. We kenak soaked as water poured into the helpless rubber tube/raft. Many people came well prepared with pocho though, so bring one if you dun like to be wet bah

Canopy Flyer

At first, I thought this is just another relax ride that you can get a bird's eye view of the area.

Wrong! We were seated in the back seat, which meant we wont know where we were heading to. Totally unexpected, as the ride went up and down. This is more thrilling than the "Enchanted Airways". Nice one.

Next, we went for the stunts live water show at the "Waterworld". As we found ourselves a seat, we noticed that the benches are painted different colours.

The blue seats will kenak soaked, the green seats will kenak splashed and the red seats are the safe ones. So depending on your own threshold, choose your seat with caution! =p

Prior to the show start, the performancers will go round with their water guns and started to spray water at the audience. And if you are unlucky, you kenak splashed with water pails. It was funny to watch though as the audience started to siam (avoid). But the more you try to siam, the more you become the target. Obviously, I was not one of their target, at most only kenak some sprays... hee

Ancient Egypt

Revenge of the Mummy

This is an indoor roller coaster. Dint try it, next time then! Tell me whether it's good if you have tried hor... =)

*****

Sci Fi City

This is where you find the world tallest pair of dueling roller coaster...

Erm, closed.

Kinda quiet here lor... Such a waste.

*Cool wind breezed by*

New York

Photo taking session!

Street Dance Performance
Lights, Camera and Action

Come here to experience the special effect of a  hurricane hit NY city within an enclosed setting...

Rain & strong wind...

Fire & explosion

All before our eyes...
******

There are various resturants in all the theme parks. Though we settled our lunch at Mel's Drive in, located at Hollywood. Hey, most economical leh... Obviously, many people think alike coz it was full! =p

Performance outside the restaurant

Oh ya, we were told to collect our vouchers when we entered USS. The vouchers included one $5 retail & one $5 food voucher for each person. Not too sure whether it's a seasonal promotion or what, but then if someone gives you vouchers for free, you dun ask questions. You just accept. Keke

So because of the vouchers, we only paid $5.20 for a meal for 2.

Our orders:
1 Mels Cheeseburger - $5.30
1 Chips - $3.00
1 Strawberry Milkshake - $2.10
1 Fish Fillet Burger - $4.80

We left USS at about 3pm plus, spent like almost 6 hours in the theme park. Even though we dint really cover every single item, a rough gauge is you probably need at least 6 hours to spend in the park bah.

For more details, please go to USS main website

Oh, I saw on the update part of the website, which states that you can pay $5 to go into Hollywood to dine & shop from 7pm - 10pm every friday & saturday. There will also be a pyrotechnics show at 9.30pm. From the look of the picture, in layman terms, it's fireworks. Hahaha...so qim term. I dun mind going in for that though.. keke...

Olright, that sums up the early part of my "celebration"... Next up, Marina Bay Sands, Sky Park & Infinity Pool! Stay tuned!
