Day 3 - Kitanomori Ice Pavilion
Next program of the day - Kitanomori Ice Pavilion!Quoted from the pamplet "It's the first world first ice museum, offering a magical experience inside a freezing, snowy and ice-covered world. The Ice Pavilion is constantly kept at -20C, with displays of icicles with the main highlight of a spot where you can experience -41C, the coldest temperature ever recorded in Japanese history"

Attractions of the Ice Pavilion in a nutshell
Snowman greeting us as we proceed to go inside the musuem. =)
Brrrrr... It was really cold inside the musuem and if you really need it, extra coats are available FOC. But hor, the extra coats were not very pretty so it proably won't look good in your pictures, just for your consideration. Hahahha
Have you blown bubbles before? Yeah, these little round thingy were exactly the same kind of bubbles, "solidified" when they were frozen under the -20C temperature. However, they were only good to see, and remained fragile when we touched them.
More snowman and icicles inside the musuem, enhanced with colourful lightings.
This is the spot where you just push the button and cold air of -41C will gush out from the hole. I find it quite acceptable as it was only a short while, and we were used to the cold. Not that I'm super strong, but you oreadi feel cold liao mah, so even if it's colder, there's actually not much differences. Hahaha.. my weird logic lah.
Saw this photo on the way out of the musuem and find it quite hilarious. Amazing right, the Japanese actually stripped naked and challenged the -41C! Kudos to their tolerance!
Little snowman family & snowman couple.. cuties.. =D
These were snow flakes, which appeared like diamond dust under lightings.. Cant really see? Hey, dun worry, nothing wrong with your eyes. I cant really see the "diamond dust" when I was there physically. Well, just use your little imagnation, ya? Hehehe
You must be wondering, what's there to see in this picture? Make a guess!

There was a frozen bowl noodles with a pair of chopsticks "floating in the air"! =p
The ice musuem was not really big, so we finished touring it within a short time. The final stop was to see this tiny winy fellow called "Clione". Erm, no idea what was it lah... And it was really very small, I had to take this shot with a magnifying glass, and it still appeared very small! >.<
The musuem offered complimentary hot tea and biscuits after the whole tour. Nice touch indeed!

It was playtime again! Time to reminish old days of playing slides. This was faster coz it was made of snow/ice!
People queuing up for the slide. There were 2 slides, so if you are afraid of heights, then you can try the lower one lor, but I think less thrilling.
We would sit on this wok- like tray thingy, hold on to the legs of the "passenger" behind you. For the higher slide, you need at least 3 people to go down together to increase the weight. We joined with 3 others, and so our overall weight was "utlimate" one and we really went down very fast. This was really fun. But due to time constraint, we only went for it once... haiz.. You must try this if you are here during winter time yeah?
The day ended off with Sounkyo. Next entry, coming up soon! =)
