1) Viator Tour to Gruyeres:

We luv luv luv this tour! Highly recommended by us! Hee

We started off with a visit to the chocolate factory of Broc (Nestlé - Cailler). The most "exciting" part of the tour was the free tasting ~ eat as much chocolate as you can! Woo hoo!

All these were meant for the free tasting, shiok!

Next, we visited the Gruyeres Village where we had some free time to enjoy ice-cream in the hot weather.

Lunch was included in this tour which was at a Cheese Diary farm.

We had varies cheese & ham as starter with the option to pair with red/white wine or just soft drinks. For main, we had the cheese fondue that we were supposed to make ourselves from shredded cheese mixture. You can either choose wine or water as the base.  We opted for the water base as we dun like the bitter aftertaste of the wine based cheese fondue. To our delight, water base cheese fondue tasted much better and we really liked it.

Dessert was meringues with a milky sauce, nice! Overall, lunch was great. In fact, the best that we had after so many days in Switzerland. ^_^

After lunch, we took an hour train ride on the Panoramic Golden Express to enjoy the countryside scenery.

Finally, the tour ended with a wine/ grape juice tasting on a restaurant terrace (Carte) which was a really nice restaurant overseeing vineyard & lake.

2) Viator Tour to Lausanne, Montreux and Chillon

We started off with a guided tour in Lausanne, the second largest city on Lake Geneva. We visited the beautiful cathedral, which is surrounded with car free roads, meaning expect some walking if you are joining this tour.

After lunch, we proceeded to Montreux where we boarded a cruise to Chillon Castle, one of Switzerland's most famous monuments.

The tour ended back at Montreux, where we had free time to do some shopping.

3) Self tour at Geneva city

Fireworks @ Geneve Summer Festival 2012

On a side note, pictures of the fireworks were taken with my Sony TX10, without tripod! Pretty good huh? =p

This post will sum up my trip in Switzerland. Next up, Italy!

And guess what? I already booked my next year trip to Korea! Keke
