6) Day Tour

Lunch was included in our day tour.  Our lunch menu:

First course - bread with virgin olive oil and green salad, paired with white wine

Second course - cheese & ham, salami, paired with red wine

Third course - pasta, paired with red wine

Fourth course - Tuscan biscotti, paired with dessert wine

Except for the dessert wine which was too sweet to consume too much, there was 1 whole bottle for each course to be shared among 4 pax. Great meal for wine lovers, I suppose.

7) Shopping - Space Outlet & The Mall

We rented a car from AVIS to drive to Space Outlet and The Mall, which were really quite ulu. I knew that there are bus/train to the place but we thought that we gonna buy a lot and it may be inconvenient to take the public transport. So you might want to consider that before you decide which mode of transport suits you best.

The drive itself was really 'exciting'. It was the first time the husband drove left hand side, which mean he had to take a conscious effort to remember where to turn.  I dun dare to take a nap (the car journey took us about an hour or so) so that I can be a extra pair of eyes to help to look out for the traffic.

The ride to Montevarchi ( the 'shopping paradise' town) was really scary as we navigated through narrow streets/alleys. To make things worse, the streets in the city was usually one way, packed with pedestrian, so imagine the frustration if you make the wrong turn. Argg.. 

Once we were out of the city area, the journey was much smoother but 'lonely' as we drove along the mountains. Keke

Remember to collect your ticket number at the entrance of the Space Outlet. This ticket number will be used to identify you. If you like an item, just let the staff know your ticket number, after which they will take a new one and place it at the cashier.  As a tip, try not to queue behind someone who is using cash to pay, coz the staff will need to run the cash through a machine one by one to ascertain it's not counterfeit notes, meaning a longer wait for you.

The Mall is another 30 minutes drive from the Space Outlet, so if you have time to just visit only one. Perhaps it's better for you to go to The Mall since there is also a Space Outlet there, though a smaller one, but at least you can cover the other brands like Gucci, Ferrangamo, Tod's etc
