Back at Clinton, probably my fourth visit? Quite rare, as I seldom revisit the same cafe/restaurant unless I really like it and pricing is affordable. Keke
Wild Blueberry - $10
This shake was damn shiok! Many places serve melted ice cream, or worse, flavored milk and call them milkshakes, which is super off lor. It has been a long time since I found a place that really serve good milkshake! Definitely be back when I have craving for milkshake. =)
Chicken & Waffles - $21
Ordered my favorite, with additional side of fluffy scrambled eggs ($6). The chicken was rather small and dry this time round, kinda inconsistent from the last time I was here. *Shrugged*
Eggs Benedict - $20
Wanted to order crab cakes (recommended by a friend) and ended up making a wrong order. I'm never a fan of eggs benedict and those that we had here didnt manage to change my opinion. Why so many people like sour sauce on eggs? LOL
Anyway, with a longer opening hours, the crowd here seem to be manageable and what's more, Clinton allows reservations for dinner. Good news for those who hate to queue for food.

Since we were at Bugis area in the morning, we popped by Asanoya, a Japanese bakery to try out the hot favorite these days ~ salted egg yolk croissant!
We were told that the egg yolk croissant would be available only after 11am, so hor, we decided to try out the other breads.
All the breads looked so exquisite, how to choose?? I must had spend a good 10mins browsing up and down the counter.
Matcha Swiss Roll - $2.80
Club Sandwich - $7
Green Tea Latte - $6
I guess maybe we were starving and bias; everything was good! I particularly adored the green tea latte which had this roasted tea aroma, I like!
11am! Dunno where these people came from and suddenly there was a long queue liao... But ok lah, there was more than 1 tray, so I think should be enough for everyone so long you are there around that timing?
Our "trophies"! Keke
I ordered the matcha salted egg croissant and maple salted egg croissant, because salted egg croissant was too mundane. ^_^
The filling was not those flowing type, more creamy. In fact, I preferred the croissant itself over the filling, which was a tab sweet to me. The croissant was fluffy and light, really nice when toasted.
Will try the Salted Egg Cube the next time!
We just cant get enough of the breads here, so we even packed home the Royal Milk Tea Bread, which was super nice also. It had the early grey milk tea fragrance and was fluffy inside. I'm surely going back for more. =)

Sunday Folks is another dessert place by the same peeps from
Creamier but because it's located in the Holland Village area which is not near where I work/stay, I have waited till now to try it out.
It's located across Holland Village, in the not so crowded Chip Bee Gardens. Besides Sunday Folks, there are Italian & Thai restaurants that you can check out as well. =)
Price wise, it's definitely more atas than Creamier. However, they offer interesting toppings and sauces (at additional cost), which allow you to customize your own waffle ice-cream.
Instead of creamy ice-cream type, it's more of a soft serve or rather more icy texture. We had the pistachio icecream with gula melaka mochi, which cost $15.40 after taxes. The pastachio flavour was nice, my current addiction!
See, the waffles got 'holes' inside, so airy and fluffy and crispy on the outside ~ best combination.
If you are in Holland Village but dislike the crowd, hop over to Chip Bee Gardens to try out the waffle icecream here! A nice treat esp in hot weather like now. Keke

I wanted to come here long ago but the unearthly opening hours (8am - 6pm) really make it hard to do so, unless you are working near bugis area. Anyway, I still managed to visit it, in fact twice before I pen this post. =)
Well, be prepared to queue for a good 30-40mins coz both times that I went, it was packed. Even though they try to squeeze in as many tables as possible, to a point, I thought that they are discriminating the not-so-slim people.
I'm kidding. I mean the discrimination part but super pack and no privacy is real. That's probably why the customers move in and out pretty fast; it is really not the best place to chill.
Chicken & Waffles - $21
This is their "Award Winning Recipe" buttermilk fried chicken, or so they claimed on their menu.... and I loved it! The maple butter sauce was ultimate and it complemented the otherwise soft waffles. I mean I dont even like soggy or soft version waffles, but I loved that here. Fried chicken was breast meat, which was quite tough. I'm totally fine with it coz anyway I prefer chicken breast meat. Portion was great. Well, you can see for yourself.
Pancake with Warm Maple Butter - $18
Choose between blueberries, chocolate and banana walnut.
I chose the banana walnut because I can then dip the pancake with the ultimate sauce with added texture. The other two is just sauce, agree? Heehee
And mind you, there were banana and walnut in every slice of the pancake; it was so filling. #fatdieus

Pies, cakes and scones that we didnt have the chance to try...

It was super packed when we visited Benjamin Browns, which was when it was still fairly new. In fact, we got to queue for almost 30mins before we managed to get a seat. Now, I think the novelty had died down liao.
Over The Top Shake - $16++
We were there to try the super over sized milkshake. It was filling on its own and the ingredients were falling out! It felt shiok to have so much ingredients in one milkshake, but then, it was just milk shake and a expensive one.
Pork Chop - $25++
We adored this pork chop! It was tender and juicy, accompanied with a sweet potato mash. A pity that the serving was small for the price tag. Even the 'salad' looked pathetic lor.
Beef Chunks - $25++
We still felt hungry after the pork chop so we ordered the beef chunks, which seemed to be a popular dish ordered by other diners. Looked disgustingly bloody but dun worry, it was actually quite decent.
Overall, the food was pretty good although pricing was not too friendly. =p

Since we were in the Cityhall area, we decided to check out the newly opened Dazzling Cafe. Alas, it was a 1.5 hour wait for a table, so we gave it a miss to try some other cafe. The honey toast we had in Taipei was nice but not that nice to wait 1.5 hour lah.
So we went to Angelina nearby which happened to have a soft launch. We ordered a iced chocolate ($?) and a mont-blanc ($13.50). The mont-blanc is their signature dessert but sadly, we didnt quite know how to appreciate it. It was basically lotza of chestnut cream with a meringue base. You must love chestnut and very sweet stuff to enjoy this dessert.
Service was damn good. They served us ice-coffee instead of ice-chocolate, and after changing the order, they gave us 2 macaroon for FREE. Cool right, totally unexpected.
When it came to billing, we honestly told the staff that we ordered ice chocolate instead of ice coffee, since the former will cost slightly more. But hor, the staff never came back with the bill. We called for bill again, and was given the wrong bill again. Sorry Angelina, we were rushing for our movie and got no time to wait for bill again, we paid the amount stated lor. It was my hubby's bdae, so take it as a treat for him, ya? End of story, service was good but a bit messy la.
Hope they can sort out their internal arrangement, otherwise they will lose quite a bit by giving free food (they also gave our neighbour table bread and butter for delay in their order) and wrong bill.

Red Velvet Waffles - $14.90
While we were waiting for our lunch reservation at
Sushi Airways, we popped by Stateland which is in the vicinity. Well, who says that we cant have dessert before a proper meal? =p
The cafe is dainty and cozy, with a vintage industrial theme. It was actually quite relaxing to just sit around and spend the afternoon away. It seems like wasting time, but what's the rush? Well, I believe we should always make time to just do nothing. ^_^
Anyway back to the waffles! It was red velvet waffles and looked pretty with the pink meringue , berries & cream cheese dots. But hor, I preferred the waffles at
Oblong, where there is lotza cream cheese. Here, the waffles was just pretty but didnt quite leave an impression.

To be frank, when Honey Creme first launched in Singapore, I was really excited to try it. I was one of those who queued more than half an hour for it. My verdict after trying the signature Honey Comb ~ definitely not worth my $5.90 and my time to queue. =(
So anyway, I tried the new flavour - Pandan Gula Melaka during the long weekend and I LUV it! ♥
